1st Day

HEY!!!

So I just spent my first day in Bangkok with my roommate Stephanie.

We didn't make it over to the snake farm today since we didn't really get moving till around 12 and it was 45 minutes away.  Plus we had all ready missed the show which was reccomended that we see.  Tomorrow we go more into the center of the city so there will be more to do.  I am still planning on going there however at some point or another.

Dont let people fool you when they say people know English.  People who do know how to speak English that we have encountered so far INCLUDING hotel staff are horrible.  We mostly say a word or two and they stare at us.

They know as much English as I do Thai
And I only know a handful of words.

We went to the Wat King Kaew today which was a temple we believe.
We also saw some monks which was exciting in itself.

afterwards we went to 7/11 to get some snacks and this is what I ended up getting.

We ordered room service tonight simply because we were to tired to do anything else.

but that is not the worst of it.

We got this chili pepper sauce which tasted like crap

Arrival

HEY!!!

I just arrived in Bangkok, Thailand!
and it only took 24 hours of travel

I was looking around the entire room which is basically split down the middle half beds/TV other half is the bathroom.

I also managed to find the fridge and this is what i found inside....

Fanta soda and it's in THAI

I cant believe I'm actually here.  it feels so unreal still.
Tomorrow we are going to try and get over to the Snake Garden to check it out.

More pictures to come tomorrow!

Tomorrow

Hey!!!

Guess who is leaving tomorrow morning!
ME

I'm excited and horrified all at the same time.

As my mom said to me.
It'll be fun, you just need to get there first

All the farewell hugs, calls, and parties it's really here, it is time to leave.

I love every single one of my friends and family whether you read this blog, on facebook, skype, oovoo, or anything else I am forgetting.
I WOULD NEVER OF HAD THE COURAGE WITHOUT YOU

God has me and is leading me and knows I can handle it all.

Thank you,
Mom, Dad, Chris, Rachael, Josh, Hannah, Emily, and Janine for making my last two days here in NJ, USA the best time I've ever had.

Christmas/Thailand/Waiting

HEY

Merry late Christmas everyone!!!

Did everyone have a good holiday?

My family got me a whole bunch of things for Thailand!

Most of the stuff was for the plane to keep me busy and sleep.
But I have a book to read on Thailand as well as an English/Thai dictionary

I'm tired of waiting to go!  I'm ready to leave.  The plane ride will be miserable but 100% worth it.

I went into the city today with the family as well as some last bonding.  I got two new hats which I will introduce. The purple one I am wearing in the above pictures and this one.
be jealous

emotions/funny faces

HEY!!!

today I'm just gonna talk about how I'm feeling about leaving in 19 days.

There is so extreme excitement.
I cannot wait to go!!!

I'm nervous I don't want anything to go wrong
It's the first time I'm away from home for an extended period of time.

Which usually ends up looking like this.

I'll look up some interesting Thailand stuff or I'll get an email and be

than I realize I wont see my parents for 5 months and i look like this.

All well I'm 19 time to move on in the world see if what I want to do with my life is really what I want to do and all I have to do is get up and go.  i have the tickets I have my spot and I have my classes. Waiting is the most stressful thing ever.  Only 3 more weeks until I leave!! Cant wait!!

Nothing to do with Thailand(well maybe a little)

HEY

Forewarning!!!
This post is not going to be anything useful about Thailand in the sense of the country but more of a goal for me. Feel free to keep reading..

OK so lets go over the worlds biggest stereotypes....

AMERICANS ARE FAT AND LAZY

OK well recently or more like since I quit the track team last year I have been gaining weight like it was my job.

In Thailand most people except for the farang are petite.

that's me on the left lol

Well since I know weight almost 80 pounds than where i want to be I'm going to try and loose some weight.

If I really want to buy anything over there I need to start thinking about how unhealthy I am right now.

So I'm hoping since I'm blogging about it.  I will actually workout at least once a day until I leave.  This way I am hoping that by the time I get there I at least feel better about myself and have some sort of routine besides sitting around and eating..

Hopefully I get into better habits

PICS PICS AND MORE PICS

HEY

All right so I have been told a million times that I need to make sure I post all my pictures so family and friends can see them.

Well I'm going to try and upload them to Facebook for all of you who are friends with me.
But uploading pictures onto the blog are a thousand times easier and quicker than Facebook.

|I'm assuming my favorite picture that I take will go up on here first.  This way everyone can see the awesomeness of what I'm doing on a given day.  But so I don't overwhelm the posts I will put the rest of them up on Facebook hopefully on a regular basis...

So instead of me making faces at the camera as I write my post

I'll throw in the picture of what I did that day and leave captions and more information.

But for now you need to deal with me for another 3 weeks
sorry
