ESU abroad meeting

HEY!!!

So ESU wants to be uber annoying about this whole studying abroad thing....
We all need to attend a meeting to go over the fact that we are allowed to be prosecuted in our host countries.... NO DUHHH!!!!  Just because we are American Citizens does not mean that we are free to do what ever we want in other countries....

Another side note there are more serious consequences for certain convictions than here in the USA...
In other words if it's illegal here it's illegal there.


When you do travel though make sure you do look for laws that you don't think of twice here.  In Thailand it's against the law to speak badly about the Royal Family.... Here we can say whatever we want about Obama....


Little differences like that
Remember even though you don't think about it, they are your host country....
You should treat them with more respect than you do in the States..
If you were to go to a friends house would you talk badly about their parents OF COURSE NOT

Be smart don't get arrested cause if you do the USA can't do squat about it so you are SOL...

So i have to attend a meeting "X" amount of time long on "X" date in the month of October...
all well at least it means I'm one step closer woot woot!!!

Dang its been a long time/update

HEY




OK OK OK I know its been like over 2 months since I put anything up and you are probably only reading it now because well there is a link on my facebook page.   SORRY....   I have been super busy up here at college, but I have decided to try and start up again.  My roommate is gonna hold me to it she just doesn't know it yet. lol

UPDATE ON THAILAND:

90% of the paperwork has been completed.  I have signed my life away, my doctor had to fill out made amounts of forms.  I sent them all in a week ago today : ).....

All that's left is actual a sample essay from my home university which is actually written but is more of a creative writing piece therefor has some serious slang in it so it needs to be revised before I send it to anyone.  A digital picture which i can finally take because my sunburn is gone. and that's it for The Education Abroad Networks info and Payap Universities info that is required.  For ESU's application all that is left is to get my credits approved.  But since the course selection is not available yet that is just a waiting game.



I'm going insane with how quickly the time is passing we are all ready finishing up our 5th week of school here at ESU.  Which means there are only 10 more weeks left like really i feel as if i just got here yesterday.  For those who don't know how busy i am this semester good thing you don't know for example this past week i got about 4 hours of sleep in 48 hours....yea



OK that's all i really got to say if I'm forgetting to mention something leave me a comment and I'll add it tomorrow
